Please read the passage before reading the commentary

Wisdom breathes life into her children.  Wisdom is personified here as a parent.  Wisdom here is the feminism of God.

Wisdom is how God admonishes us, loves us, embraces us.

We need to see the feminism of God.  The Bible was given us at a time when the masculine was given full attention and the feminine was often brushed aside.  Wisdom is recognizing the feminine in God and celebrating it.

Wisdom as a parent is you as a reader.  As you embrace children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, you want to instill in them the wisdom you have learned from your earlier days.  As God has entrusted to you your wisdom as a reflection of God’s wisdom, so you become the wisdom figure of this passage of Scripture.

God has admonished, loved and embraced you.  In turn you admonish, love and embrace your offspring.  You become a homily of God’s wisdom, a revelation of God’s wisdom.  You make God present to your offspring.  Continue to breathe life into your children.
