Please read the passage before reading the commentary.
The book of Exodus described the Israelites as dancing in the desert after they have escaped from the Egyptian army by crossing the Red Sea. John described the Book of Revelation as a new Exodus in which the persecuted Christians are singing and dancing after the Exodus that the Book of Revelation described. How great and wonderful.do we consider God’s works are? Are we ready to celebrate our Exodus from Egypt and our protection given us by God?
God’s righteous acts will be revealed. In fact, the Scripture says that these acts have been revealed. We have only to see them, or at most to look and find them. God does not hide them from us: God wants us to find them. Our task is to seek, find, and give glory to God.
While we may experience in this life bad health, opposition from others, difficulties and setbacks, God is not about torturing us or making us suffer. God is rather saving us much the way parents train their children in manners and in good behavior, not evil. The goal is growth in holiness not repression of good. When we are in charge of others, we have the same responsibility to provide for the good, not the bad.
Today we have an opportunity to thank God for God’s wonderful ways. We need to get started with this since we need the practice for eternity. How many times today will each of us thank God?
