Please read the passage before the commentary.

I’m told that in Jesus’ at Passover time, to prevent pilgrims from accidentally stepping on a grave and being prevented from the festivities thereby, they would whitewash the stones to make them stand out.

Jesus called the scribes and Pharisees whitewashed tombs, appearing neat but filled with death and stench.  In doing so he was warning people to avoid contamination from contact with them so that they could celebrate Jesus’ Passover by his death and resurrection.

How do we use the sound teaching of Jesus to celebrate our sharing in the Passover death and resurrection of Jesus?
