Please read the passage before the commentary.

Are we still trying to figure out Lent?  We are supposed to be doing things for Christ.  We do this by meeting Jesus. Jesus identifies himself in the least likely of people.

We need not go far to find people hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, homeless, imprisoned.  They are in our homes, shops, and places of work. They are in the younger sibling who wants our attention, in the aging parent, the family member who does not easily fit in.  They are in the drivers who cut ahead of us in traffic, in the coworker who wants our expertise, in the cranky boss or the obstinate employee.  It is erven in dysfunctional families.  It is where we have to be with family, schoolmates, and coworkers that Christ wants to interact with us.  It is when we recognize him and respond graciously to him that we find ourselves blessed and inheriting eternal life.  If we do not recognize Jesus in others, then we miss the opportunities to de good for Christ.

The face of Jesus is for each one of us, the person we are face-to-face with on any particular moment.
