(Please read the passage cited above first.)

My sisters and brothers,

We are daughters and sons of God because we are guided by the Spirit of God.  We have received the Spirit pf freedom, not of slavery.  We have the same Sprit that God the Father has.

I have the spirit of my Mom and Dad because I am their son.  I talk like them, I walk like them, and I act like them.  I am the same as they are.

Each one of you has the spirit of your family.  You share the spirit of your parents with your children.

Schools train their students so that each develops school spirit.  Then the students can cheer, “Rah, rah, rah, siscumbah, our school, our school, rah, rah, rah!”

On the other hand, we have the Spirit of God, not the spirit of a school.  The Spirit guides us and cheers us on so that we do all that God would have us do when God created us.

Since we have received the Spirit of God, we can call God “Father”.  We are children of God the Father, not slaves or disowned children.  We are true and beloved members of God’s family.

The Spirit of God animates the Trinity energetically in the work of creation.  The father, the Son and the Holy Spirit interact and work together with vibrant energy in a community of equalness.  The Spirit draws us, who are children of God, into this energy of God’s.  We have, therefore, God’s power to triumph over the evils in our lives.

We are members of God, members of the holy Trinity, members formed through the work of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Are you a sinner?  The power of God’s Spirit, which you have, is stronger than all the sins of the world.  Because we are children, we, you and I and all the rest, we, can receive forgiveness of our sins.  We are God’s children and our home is with God in all God’s glory now and forever.
