We hold our treasure in earthen vessels. When wngthe are young, just starting out on our adult life, we seemed to have unbounded energy. Now, when I am in my eighties, I have less energy, and I understand that the treasure I have is held in earthen vessels. It is God who watches over the treasure and apportions its use.
When I first started writing this blog, I found it easy to stay up to date with the entries. Not so anymore, I often find myself getting behind, sometimes from mechanical problems and sometimes from inferior time management.
We hold our treasure in earthen vessels, but sometimes God keeps God’s treasure in earthen vessels. God does entrust God’s mission and work to us humans, despite our failures. God’s weakness is stronger than our human strength. Our weakness shares God’s strength. This enables us to fulfill our purposes in life. We can laugh and be confident in fulfilling the duties we have in this world.
